MIAS International Summer School students take a major course worth 6 ECTS and a minor course worth 3 ECTS, which may be recognized by their home Universities based on the official transcript. Tuition includes full assistance and support to students from their arrival to Prague up to their departure, including individual airport pick-up and discharge. Convenient accommodation is provided in a dormitory right next to the MIAS School of Business building where classes are taken.
The MIAS International Summer School gives many undergraduates their first taste of studying and living abroad. Over the three weeks, friendships, networks and experiences are created that reach beyond borders, cultures and particular professional interests. Overseas students often use the MIAS International Summer School as a convenient starting point for their own exploration of Europe over the rest of their holidays.
Note that in 2020, due to issues related to the global pandemic, the MIAS International Summer School will not take place.
Forty nine students of eleven nationalities and undergraduate majors ranging from economics and engineering to informatics and chemical technologies took part in the third year of the MIAS International Summer School.
This diversity facilitated skills that students developed in their project work as well as in their free time, which will help them become successful in multicultural and multidisciplinary job environments.
Almost forty students with different cultural and educational backgrounds representing nine universities attended International Summer School at the MIAS School of Business in July 2018.
Students also enjoyed a variety of cultural and social events as well as the day and the weekend trips and plenty of opportunities to explore Prague in day and night.
The first MIAS International Summer School was organized in July 2017. Forty students from China, Vietnam, Taiwan, Australia, Korea, Russia, Thailand, the United States and Uzbekistan took part.
Students met new friends among their classmates and MIAS International Office peers who took care of the organization and the accompanying program.
