Short-term study stays typically offer you your first international experience and we encourage MIAS students to consider them early in their undergraduate program. They last one week at a minimum and usually do not take longer than one month, thus causing no major interruption to your study plans.
The ATHENS Program (Advanced Technology Higher Education Network/Socrates) is a 1-week exchange session held twice a year (in March and November) by a network of European higher-education institutions.
The program is coordinated by ParisTech. Many MIAS students apply in each term, and there is a high demand for the course on Talent Management offered by MIAS.
The courses taught in the sessions cover not only the spectrum of the members' majors but also an opening on arts and humanities.
During the week, the host university organizes activities in the city for the foreign students to help them discover another culture. Usually, it consists of a 5-day course on a specific subject, a city tour and some nights with the local students.
BEST, Board of European Students of Technology, provides communication, co-operation and exchange possibilities for students all over Europe since 1989.
95 Local BEST Groups in 33 countries constitute a growing, well-organised and innovative student network.
BEST strives to help European students of technology to become internationally aware by reaching a better understanding of European cultures and developing capacities to work in an international environment.
A BEST Course is an event optimized for two weeks and its aim is to provide new knowledge or skills for participants, taught by professionals.
Many universities around the world organise a summer school every year. The summer schools usually last from 7 to 30 days. Each summer school focuses on a particular topic, which gives students the opportunity to enhance their experience, as well as meet new people and get to know new places.
You may also apply to participate in projects such as workshops, organized for students from different countries by MIAS and other schools.
Stay tuned and watch for more opportunities to come.
